Meet The Team

Anthony

Anthony

Anthony is shop owner of Westport Bike Shop. He is an elite level cyclist who has raced and trained with the world’s best. Having been a member of the Australian NRS Team Subaru he had the opportunity to race all over Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. He has competed in races such as The An Post Rás, New Zealand Cycle Classic, Tour of Adelaide, Noosa Criterium, Irish Nationals and has titles in adventure races on home soil in Westport’s Sea2Summit and a bronze medal from the European Duathlon Championships in Limerick in 2012.

Having moved home to Westport in 2017 he started coaching cyclists and triathletes under his new business MultiSport by Anthony Murray. His coaching has helped many athletes develop their skills and fitness from beginner to elite level. MultiSport Westport offers personal coaching, cycling classes, rowing classes and fitness classes under Anthony’s guidance. At the end of 2017 the opportunity came for Anthony to take over as owner of Westport Bike Shop. He is now in a position where he can help and guide customers from their first cycling experience all the way through to competing or making cycling apart of their lifestyle. His ambition is to grow the cycling community in the West of Ireland and introduce more youth to the sport.

After two years out of competition he is now back training and looking forward to competing for Westport Covey Wheelers Cycling Club. He aims to get back up to national level racing and feels the energy is back with loads of new goals!
